We work closely with a number of web developers who will accept in-fill assignments at rates far less than they would normally charge. Turning an amateur looking web site into something more professional may cost as little as £750 + VAT. The terms and conditions are:
1.	The job is clearly a 'refresh' project i.e. to turn a visually poor site (both in visitor and search engine terms) into a more professional one. The £750 illustration would apply to a brochure site with an introduction page and 4-5 secondary pages.
2.	It must be accepted at the outset that the work is being undertaken as an in-fill job. It will be completed within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 60 days but may be up to 90 days.
3.	The text is ready and requires little alteration.
4.	The graphics are available, legally held and are in a suitable quality.
5.	No additional hosting charges will be incurred by the developers. We will advise you if cheaper alternatives are available, but you will not be required to change current arrangements.
6.	Fixed price quotations will be submitted and must be accepted in writing prior to commencement of the work.
7.	50% of the fee will be invoiced on commission and must be paid within 10 days. The balance will be payable on completion.
8.	We guarantee that the work will be undertaken by professional companies and will be overseen by eBusiness Gateway staff.
AN EXAMPLE This site had a weak front page with a revolving Enter image. The secondary pages were poorly laid out; the text was confused and the images were blurred. The site was constructed using technology not favoured by Search Engines and had no Keywords, which would have assisted online referrals. The site now has a warm and friendly feel and conveys a professional image. The practice prides itself on the personal touch and the use of images from a local artist helps to reinforce this point.
