Juice Boosted

Expect a rush of emails telling you about Juice Boosted, who predict that "the Internet is starting over again" and promise faster Internet connections.

With an affiliate marketing scheme offering £27 for every person signing up, plus 'downlines' of 10 tiers (i.e. pyramid) there will be many people encouraging you to sign-up. The problem is that it isn't obvious what the service is, nor is it at all clear what the deal is for customers. The bulk of the website can only be accessed when you have signed-up, but you can see some marketing information on the Affiliates page.

We make no comment on the service - but we encourage you to do your research before buying anything. One of the best places to take a look at conversations amongst professionals on new services is to go to the forum of the ISP review site and do a search on the subject you are interested in. There is some interesting head scratching on Juice Boosted.

I was looking for reviews about Juice but only found some forums and two blogs talking about the broadband alternative (yours and http://klaro.blog-city.com/read/778477.htm). But so far, judging fromwhat I read, this may really be a scam.

Thanks for your comments above. The other blog that you refer to is a nice reference.

Coincidentally, today I received a request for clarification of the service that was being promoted by an affiliate. My answer was to wait and see - certainly it makes no sense to me to sign up for a service that downloads a file to your computer before you know what it does and what the service is!

I know it looks like a scam and talks like a scam but as it was free I still signed up. They don't get my bank details , they don't get my credit card details and they don't get any money off me so in my book so far they haven't scammed me. from a lot of the messages I've read on forums both here and in the US it would seem that this technology might work but I guess we won't know till October 1st.

No, this technology will NOT work.

The most limited fan of technology should know that the claims are absolutely bogus. There is no way to turn an ordinary phone line into a free 2Mbps connection that filters spam, prevents 404's, protects from Viruses, and filters porn OR THEY PAY YOU.

The claims are ludicrous, and anyone with half a brain should notice it.

two checks eh, well thats a load of crap isnt it, because if you read the site it says they will only begin payouts 7 days after starting the service in october, so now i think we're all gonna be laughin at you

Come.......let us all laugh at Steve.

I say we see the checks and go from there. I am a believer that internet should be free!!! like it was in the good ol days.

Im with you steve, lets see those checks!!!

Check their site. What you mean it has gone?? - hey does that mean it was a scam after all (HAHAHAHAHA).

suckers...

dude, its down cause they are "revamping/upgrading" the site, this was informed to everyone that signed up, it should be up, however, in the next few days...

I was told this 'juice' thing is a piece of software that super-compresses the data, therefore squeezing more down a phone line. Whether you are technically adept or not, do you think it's likely that big companies on the forefront of IT would invest billions worldwide, in the current broadband technology, when you could achieve better results with a little piece of software? And then market it in this way?
As I understand it, it's free to sign up, free to use and everything is free AND you get paid £27 for every person you introduce to the service! Hmmmmmmm..........

I went on the site over a week ago. It said it would off air for 5 days.
I have just tried again today. Guess what?
Is it ground hog day....?

Maybe they ran out of juice?

As a footnote to this story, the UK hosts have booted out the Juice Boosted and it has decamped to a host in China. There remains instances where niave affiliates are paying good money to Google to advertise the 'service'. If you haven't already got the drift from previous posts - don't be fooled by this scam.

This is an email update for all JUICE affiliates.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

You will notice that we have not launched yet.

We will not be launching JUICE for sometime due to a number of very
important reasons that have been listed below;

1. Lack of REAL interest in the service that we intended to launch in
October 2004.
2. Our systems were flooded with fake customers by unscrupulous
affiliates trying to beat the system and collect commission on customers that
do not exist and would have never connected to the service.
3. Our systems were flooded with fake referred affiliates by
unscrupulous affiliates trying to beat the system and collect commission by
referring thousands of fake affiliates that do not exist.
4. Bandwidth and resources were constantly usurped by hackers.

The whole programme will now be restructured (overhauled) greatly and
there will be a re-launch of which you will be notified of in the near
future. The re-launch's services will be vastly different to the
previously offered because of the lack of interest shown by the general
Internet community. These changes may not suit all existing affiliates,
however we cannot at this moment divulge what changes will be made to the
affiliate programme, broadband service or indeed the potential date for
re-launch. You will be notified of such dates and changes via email as
soon as there is news to be distributed.

For your reference, all those affiliates that spammed our systems with
fake customers and fake referrals will have had their accounts
terminated and their false activity and stats records deleted. This will have
been done without notification to the offending affiliate, however you
may still receive emails from us for a short time until we adjust our
affiliate contact database.

You have now got TWO simple choices.

You can remain opted-in to our updates and wait for the new service to
be announced or you may opt-out right now.

Whichever you choose, we will honor all YOUR referred customer
commission payments (ONLY for legitimate customers that YOU introduced that
received an acceptance email and account number from us) existing on your
account/stats when we closed the broadband offer. We will also pay any
overrides you earned on your account providing they derive from
legitimate applications.

We will NOT pay affiliates for fake sign-ups. Any affiliate that has
made a fake sign-up will not be paid anything off their account and they
will be terminated.

To accept this offer of payment, please do the following;

1.
Reply to this email with the following word in the subject line -
"ACCEPT PAYMENT"

Once you have done this your account will queue while checks are being
made into the validity of your customers to calculate the amount of
commission that is payable. We will pay commission as advertised for valid
customers.

2.
We will contact you with customer volumes and values and once you
accept the amount we will issue you a cheque/check and post it to you

Many Thanks
