Mobile Phone Hoax

The are a number of hoax messages doing the rounds at the moment. These are intended merely to raise concerns and also to clog up networks where people forward it to their contacts. Our advice is to ignore all these type of messages and delete them. Here are a couple of the current examples.

Example A:

To: ALL ORANGE USERS

If you receive a phone call and your mobiles phone displays ACE-? on the screen DON''T ANSWER THIS CALL - END THE CALL IMMEDIATELY. IF YOUANSWER THE CALL, YOUR PHONE WILL BE INFECTED BY THIS VIRUS. This virus will erase all IMEI and IMSI information from both your phone and your SIM card, which will make your phone unable to connect with the telephone network. You will have to buy a new phone. ? This information has been confirmed by both Motorola and Nokia. There are over 3 million mobile phones being infected by this virus in USA now.

You can also check this news in the CNN web site.?

Please forward this piece of information to all your friends

Keyword Selection Tools

Most of you will be reasonably clear as to the importance of good keywords, both for use as 'Meta Tags' on your website as well as in the visible text. If not, then look in the library of articles on the main eBusiness Gateway site.

There are a lot of tools around that help website optimisation professionals (and those who pose as such), here are a couple - an existing one from Overture and a new one from Google.

Overture

Go to this page and select the Keyword Assistant. Type in a word or phrase (remember a keyword can be 2 or 3 words) and make a note of the top search terms. Repeat this for other phrases and you will end up with a decent set. (You don't want more than 25!)

Google

Have a play with this new tool from Google. As you type the word/phrase you will see a list of the recent searches on Google. Again, pick the top ones.

Note: these links are OK as of the date of publishing this note. If they change, then search Overture Advertising Center and Google's Business Tools pages.
